Chapter 1: Planned Reunion

Sakura woke up and found something yellow floating... that was Kero.

“When are you going to get up? Didn’t you say you have some special appointment?”

“Hoe... That’s right,” she jumped out of her bed, “I gotta meet Tomoyo this morning!”

She hurriedly changed her clothes and ate breakfast before she rushed out of her house.

Along the way to Tomoyo’s house, thinking of the dream she had in the night before just stuck to her mind.

“Sorry I’m late,” Sakura said. Sakura was invited by Tomoyo that morning.

“Today, I have a special guest I want you to see,” her best friend announced when she showed up.

“Hoe?”

Tomoyo took Sakura to her room, where she found a familiar boy—the same age, and with amber hair.

“Syaoran, is that you!” Sakura exclaimed. Meanwhile, Tomoyo who had also invited Syaoran, whispered into a walkie-talkie, “Project S now commenced.”

AN: Project S, sounding kind of suspicious, was named after the initial letter of Sakura and Syaoran. Don’t rant about the naming.

All of a sudden, the room got darkened despite the time of day... it was the work of Tomoyo, not to mention.

“What just happened?” Sakura exclaimed.

“Don’t be upset, Sakura,” Sayoran soothed her.

“What’s wrong with you?” Tomoyo held the camcorder she had hidden in her pocket. The light was tuned on at this minute when Sakura breathed a sigh, “I wonder what just happened.”

“I don’t know. But it’s good you are safe,” Syaoran replied.

“Are you OK, Tomoyo?” Sakura asked her best friend.

“Yes, I’m OK. I’m glad I taped a good footage.”

“Did you say something?”

“Nothing special,” Tomoyo replied, subsequently suggesting, “Oh, I know. Say, Syaoran, your reunion is after such a long time, so you might as well drop by Sakura’s house.”

Everything went on the way Tomoyo had planned. It was that Tomoyo had heard about Touya’s schedule in advance, and selected the day he would hang out late. She half forcedly talked him into visiting Sakura’s house.

Since he hadn’t been to Sakura’s house for five years, Syaoran was a little nervous... Sakura was nervous, too, though she was happy to have Syaoran at home. She made tea, and talked to him just like the five years before. She talked to him about the dream she had the night before.

“How do you feel about it, Syaoran?”

“Could be a prophetic dream, couldn’t it?”

“You think so? I don’t want anything like that will ever happen,” Sakura replied worriedly.

“Me neither,” Syaoran agreed.

“Hey, kiddo. The presence you felt in the dream, what was like?”

“It was like... H-hey, Kero, since when are you here?” Sakura uttered in surprise. Kero had floated downstairs to ask her for some sweets, but he was waiting for the timing while eavesdropping their conversation.

“Anyway, why is this brat here?” Kero took a glance at Syaoran.

“Tomoyo called him to Japan and...” Sakura explained.

“OK, then, what kind of presence did you feel?” Kero resumed to the conversation.

“Like someone I know, but I have no idea who it was.”

“You don’t know...” he mumbled.

Sakura took a glance at the clock that indicated eleven already. Tomoyo didn’t tell her about where Syaoran would stay in Japan. She got puzzled if she had to put him to stay with him... Thinking about it, she began to feel very sleepy...

To be continued...

Postscript

OK, the first chapter is over. The length of the chapter is kind of inappropriate. I guess you readers do not understand what Tomoyo was up to, calling Syaoran back to Japan. It will be revealed in the following chapters... Stay tuned for the chapter 2.
