Chapter 1

“Hauuu... It’s tomorrow. I’m totally nervous. I’ve never seen him for five years, and he’s a high school student,” Sakura took a glance at the calendar, lifting her baggage in a restless feeling. Kero tried to calm her down, “Hey, Sakura. I know how excited you are, but prepare for the trip.” She was too nervous to hear him, as she wonder around her room and breathed a sign from time to time, remembering over those days. To think it back, it was clear that Tomoyo planned all the things.

It was that Tomoyo called her on the cell phone, when Sakura answered, “Hello, this is Sakura. Hi, Tomoyo, what’s up?” “Umm, Sakura, do you have any plan for the spring break?” “No, I don’t. But why.”
“In the spring break, I’d love to go on a trip with you, for a few days... Uh, I will make a reservation of a hotel. Don’t you mind it?” Tomoyo asked. “Of course not. Just you and me? Come over to my place, and let’s make a plan,” Sakura replied.
“And a special guest will be joining us, hohohoho,” Tomoyo giggled meaningfully.
“Hoe? Who in the world is the special guest? ... She hang up...”

A couple of hours later, Tomoyo visited Sakura to make a plan. They decided their trip would be from March 31 to April 1; that was when she was free from the housekeeping duty. It was more precisely because Tomoyo insisted on April 1, which was Sakura’s birthday. They decided to stay in an amusement park, which had a great cherry-blossom viewing spot and an aquarium. The guide book Tomoyo brought said “Nice Place for Loving Couple!” but Sakura was too innocent to know what Tomoyo was up to. When Sakura asked Kero to come along, he took a glance at Tomoyo and declined, “Thanks, but I don’t wanna disturb you.” Sakura was excited to see the guide book, “Look! They have tons of rides, and this sundae looks delicious!” Kero gulped as his mouth watered, but Tomoyo shook her head to motion him to stay away.

A week before their trip, Tomoyo called Sakura unexpectely, who said, “Sorry, Sakura. I’m afraid I can’t go on the trip because of somthing about my mom’s company.” “What? We have to call it off?” Sakura groaned with a shock. “Don’t worry, Sakura. I’ve already made a reservation of a hotel, and the special guest will sure be there with you! I’m sorry I can’t join you, but please enjoy your trip to your content! Hohohoho.” “Hey, Tomoyo, who in the world is the special guest... She hang up again...” Sakura didn’t even see Kero stifling his laughter.

When the trip is only two days away, Tomoyo e-mailed Sakura:

Hi, Sakura.

I guess it’s the time I told you who the special guest is.
The guest will be coming from Hong Kong.
Here’s a clue: The guest is a boy whom you know very well.
Enjoy staying with him, hohohoho. I made you a perfect costume for the trip.
See you.

Tomoyo

As dense she is about this sort, Sakura knew who the guest was as she blushed. It was Syaoran Li. She had never seen him after their mystic adventure in the amusement park five years before, and that he went back to Hong Kong pretty soon. She was to reunion her boyfriend, and to go on a trip with him—that will be more than going out on a date. She had never forgotten about him even a millionth of a second. She had long been dying to see him, and she loved him as much as five years before. Nevertheless, she was turned upside down, because she had to go on a trip unexpectedly alone with the boy she loved. Her heart continued racing very hard for the following two days.

The day of the trip came. Sakura was looking at the outfits Tomoyo dressed her. A one-piece dress with a short skirt which was designed with fine flower pattern, a thin cherry-pink jacket with cherry blossoms embroidered on it, and yellow green pants. Sakura was waiting for Syaoran, with her cheeks blushed. She didn’t even know, but there stood a girl holding a camcorder, and floated a yellow stuffed toy-like creature, just behind her. “Sakura is cuter than cutest,” the girl behind the glittering camera lens chuckled. “Sakura on a date with the brat. It’s worth a look,” Kero whispered. “Hey, here he comes!” Tomoyo hushed as there was a silence. A good-looking tall boy with chestnut colored hair and amber eyes was looking around. She soon realized who he was to see the glow on his cheeks. Sakura was so excited that she jumped at him when she shouted, “Syaoran!” Sakura’s cheeks and eyes were blushed, but Syaran’s cheeks turned even redder. He whispered, “Sakura,” but he turned speechless as he was nailed by Sakura’s kawaiiness. He managed to offered her his handkerchief, and said, “Shall we go?” They went walking, linking their arms with each other. Now their romantic trip had just begun.
