On the night of Sakura’s birthday, Sakura finds a little bag
on her desk. That is the gift from Nadeshiko who is now up
in the heaven. Sakura opens the gift and finds a letter and
a pendant inside. The moment she puts it on, it flashes
with blinding light. She finds herelf in a strange world.
That is 10 years in the past, when Sakura was one year old,
and Nadeshiko was 24. Sakura is to know Nadeshiko’s secret
in the past world.

I am Sakura Kinomoto. I’ll be a fifth grader in no time. I’m having my birthday party when I get back from school. I’m so excited.
Sakura went to school with that excited feeling.
“Morning,” Sakura said to the class cheerfully, when her friends replied, “Good morning.”
“Good morning, Tomoyo.”
“Good morning, Sakura. You are in a good mood today.”
“Oh, you think so?” Sakura asked excitedly.
“Whatever little thing happened to you, I would know it,” Tomoyo said smiling.
“Well, I have my birthday party, today... Yukito will join us.”
“Sounds fantastic. Oh, yeah, today, I just made a costume just for you, Sakura. I gotta videotape you dressed in the costume I made in your birthday party.”
Tomoyo was excited with the intention she was to videotape Sakura in the costume she made.
“Hoeeee,” Sakura got a little nervous.
“Here’s the homeroom class,” Mr. Terada came in, “Now the new semester has just begun, so the sessions are not as easy as before. Concentrate on the class, you guys.”
“Yes,” the students replied, when Sakura sighed “Hoeee.”
Today is my birthday. Tomoyo, Naoko, Chiharu, and Rika visited me and gave me gifts. Hoe? Something is on my desk, what?
