One night, sirens were heard out of the window when fire trucks passed by. It was that there was a fire in an apartment house nearby, but here in this room this girl was facing a trouble as well. She had to finish all the homework that was piled up a foot high on the desk. The Wisdom Card was watching her by her side, but he didn’t have any intention helping her.
“Too bad nobody helps you, Sakura, even though you’ve got the Wisdom Card in hand,” Kero sarcastically said.
“Study is a process of learning,” the Wisdom Card replied, “So I won’t help anybody with their homework.”
“Shut up or I’ll seal you!” Sakura hysterically shouted.
There was a knock on the door, and Tomoyo came in as she said, “Oh, my. That’s exactly what your brother mentioned before...” She stopped talking to see how hard her friend was struggling.
“Yay! I’ve got only the diary to go. Uh, hi, Tomoyo,” Sakura found the visitor.
“This summer break was such a big adventure for you,” Tomoyo said, “Now the Hope is not around. But then I wonder where Geso Li went.”
“The brat’s mother was there on the hill that night. She caught him in the spot and took him back to Hong Kong,” Kero answered.
“Have you heard something about the Hope?” Sakura asked.
“Yes, Ms. Mizuki said in an e-mail that she already started a slapstick with Suppi,” Tomoyo reported, then added, “But the reason she’s away is...”
“To hide the evidence,” Kero smirked, “It was way too funny how amazed Touya was when he saw the ground plan and her footprint.”
“That’s not true,” Sakura smiled and tell her friend the truth, “Eriol told me it was possible for him to convert her attribute, so I let him take care of her for the time being.”
“Now that you have all the Geso Cards, so you have 59 Cards in all, Sakura?” Tomoyo said.
“Yeah,” Sakura replied, “That’s what Syaoran told me to do. Oh, Tomoyo? Didn’t you see Syaoran? I thought he was here in this room.” At this time, Sakura’s cell phone rang, and she answered.
Next morning, Sakura ran out of the porch dragging a paper bag filled with her summer break homework. The neighborhood greeted her, “Good morning. Master Syaoran, Sakura is here!” It was Wei, who was calling Syaoran. The boy came out and said, “Good morning. So you finished your homework?” Sakura widened her eyes with surprise to see the unexpected.
Wei talked about the night before, “We had a mishap last night. There’s a minor fire on a lower story of our apartment house. We didn’t know where to live during the repair, then Tomoyo came and helped us.”
“I don’t believe it. You moved over night?” Sakura was amazed at first, and then he felt happy that Syaoran had moved to her neightborhood.
Sakura, Tomoyo, and Syaoran were walking to school, when they heard brakes screeching in an intersection. A cute little girl was crossing the street when the light is red.
“Watch out!”
Sakura called the Windy Card, but at the next moment, something unbelievable happened before her eyes. The girl turned to Sakura, not caring about the car running toward her, and smiled. When she raised her hand forward, she was encircled by a bright halo as she talked to Sakura through mind, “Good move, mummy. I see such a mistake is your thing, as usual.”
The Windy turned back into its card form before floating back to Sakura’s palm. Strangely, no one around the intersection didn’t remember what had just happened. Neither did the driver of the car.
“You saw what happened, Syaoran? Who in the world was she?”
Syaoran and Tomoyo didn’t remember anything about the little girl, either.
Touya was mending a artifact in the archeology study. The artifact was part of a coffin with beautiful patterns engraved on the surface. Youko Nakagawa came in sending off tidy scent of a pretty young lady.
“Is it true that flowers are offered in the coffin?” she asked.
“Lots of beautiful flowers,” Touya replied, “You want to know what kind of flowers were in it?”
“Nop. I just thought the person in the coffin must have been loved by people.” Youko mentioned.
Touya quietly started words, “Even if the figure has been blown in the wind, the spirit will...”
“Remain for good,” Youko completed the sentence.
Touya sighed and took off his apron before taking up his coat.
“What about a drink with me, Youko?” Touya asked.
“Aren’t you going with Yukito?”
“If you have another plan, then I’ll ask him to go with me.”
The moment she heard him reply that way, she uttered a joy in her mind, “Bingo!”
“Drinking is good!” she talked to him with joy, “For your information, I drink much sake.”
“OK, show me how to drink,” Touya replied smiling.
When the working hours was over, old Masaki was reading a porm
in the sun set seen from the president’s office of Amamiya Coorporation.
“God’s in his heaven, all’s right with the world.
Everything goes the way the lord wants them to be...” he whispered.
