44. Sakura, Kero, and the Mysterious Teacher

In the familiar dream, Sakura stands on top of a building facing Tokyo Tower, on which she sees Ms. Mizuki, and furthermore there is someone else this time. She can see the figure in shadow that has long hair and wings on the back. Just at this time, the alarm clock goes off, and Sakura reaches the plush doll instead by mistake. On Sunday though, she has to wake up early in the morning, since she planned to cheer Yukito in the archery competition with Tomoyo and Syaoran. Kero notices that the plush doll on the bed resembles Sakura in a battle costume. Actually it had been given by Tomoyo a week before the seal on the Clow Book was broken, which featured Sakura in a costume Tomoyo made. More surprisingly, the costume looks exactly like that Sakura in the dream was dressed in.

Tomoyo and Syaoran come to pick Sakura up, before she has finished packing the lunch boxes. Besides, Kero insists he wanted to go out with them this time. They take train to get the temple where the competition takes place, which was near Tokyo Tower. Yukito is an excellent archer that every arrow he shot hit the center of the target, and then he has won up the tournament to the final. His oppenent in the final happens to be Ms. Mizuki. She is a good archer, too, and the final looks like an endless match. During the fierce competition, Kero pokes his head out Sakura's backpack, as he senses a strong magical power. At the moment Kero mumbles "Yue," Ms. Mizuki gets distracted and misses by a mile, then Yukito wins the championship in the end.

Later, Sakura, Tomoyo, and Syaoran have lunch with Yukito in the garden of the temple. But Sakura finds out Kero took off, when he is supposed be hiding in the backpack. Sakura runs around the temple and catch him talking with Ms. Mizuki. She has such a strong magical power that she has known about Kero from the biginning.

When Sakura's gang are walking home with Yukito and Ms. Mizuki, the ground starts shaking rumbling like an earthquake. That is the work of the final Clow Card!

45. Sakura and the Final Clow Card

The ground shakes and rumbles, and further, suddenly buldges up like gigantic pillars in some places. This is the work of the final Clow Card named Earthy. Sakura uses the Sleep Card to make people all around them sleep, and soars up on the Fly, leaving Syaoran to take care of the others.

Sakura can see cracks and buldges of the ground that is destroying the town. Next moment, a golem looking like a dragon appears to attack Sakura. When Sakura chops its head off with the Watery Card, it grows back, and subsequently, when she attacks it with the Firey, it turns the attack against her blasting rocks in a blaze. Kero hurries up and bites Sakura out of its reach. He says the attack Cards will take no harm on the Earthy Card, and furthermore, the Cardcaptor has to figure out how to capture the final Card all by herself. Gazing all over the ground when jumping on the Jump Card, Sakura notices that no trees are knocked down despite in that violent earthquake—trees have their roots tangling into the earth. Then she made up her mind to use the Wood Card, from which vines spring out to tangle around the golem. Sakura has finally captured the final Card, when Kero turns back into his true form looking awsome like a tiger.

For the ceremonial day when the Cards all have been captured, Tomoyo has Sakura and Syaoran change into their battle costumes and robe. As soon as Sakura has signed the Card, a chilly wind begins to blow, and surprisingly, Yukito turns into a man with long gray hair and wings. Kero explains that he just turns out to be Yue, the second gardian of the Clow Cards ruled by the moon, who has appeared to judge if the candidate deserves to be the master of the Cards. First of all, Yue picks Syaoran up on the rood of the temple, and told Syaoran to defeat him. Unfortunatelly, Yue turns the Time Card magic against Syaoran, just because the Card is controlled by the moon. Syaoran is badly beaten up by Yue, and is sent back to his friends.

Yue hypnotizes Sakura and lifts her up on the rooftop of a building. She finds herself facing Tokyo Tower just like in her familiar dream, and then Yue declares that her judgement has just commenced.

46. Sakura and the Final Judgment

Sakura is really confused, why she has to fight against Yue that is originally Yukito, and why it did not come to an end at the moment she sealed the last Card. Now, all before her eyes are what she previously saw in her dreams.

Yue hypnotizes Sakura again, so she uses the Jump Card to hop to Tokyo Tower where Yue is wating. She gets back to her conciousness at the moment she gets to the roof of sight-seeing point on the tower. She refuses to fight against Yue because she does not want to hurt Yue that is originally Yukito. When Yue blasts crystalline bullets, Sakura takes off on the Fly. Yue follows her around the tower, and keeps attacking her. She is thrusted onto the tower time and again, and finally crashes onto the roof of the sight-seeing point. She is caught in a dilemma that a disaster will befall the world if she is defeated, and she does not want to hurt Yue at all. All she is thinking is how she can get through without hurting him. This kind of thought makes her use the Wood Card, which is a wrong choice. The Wood is under Yue's control, so he turns the magic against her to bind her tightly with the vines. The disaster to befall the world is to forget about the feeling toward the person you love the most. Sakura's vision gets blanked.

Sakura wakes up on the alarm, and hurries downstairs, but something goes strange. Touya does not tease her, or they do not have the picture frame on the table. Things are funny in the school, too. Tomoyo is no longer her best friend, and Syaoran has changed the same way. Sakura's life is no longer as exciting as ever. After school, she impulsively walks to Yukito's house, but it was deserted, then she feels really lonely. When she is almost breaking into tears, voices are coming to call Sakura's name. She can hear every voice around her calling her name.

Sakura gets back to her conciousness and blow the restrctive vines off to set herself free. Behind her stands Ms. Mizuki, who just summoned her back to the conciousness with the Bell made by Clow Reed. When Sakura says the “That's all right” spell, her staff changes its form. Releasing the Windy Card with the new staff, Sakura succeeds in trap Yue inside the wind cage. Then Yue recognize Sakura as the master of the Cards. In closing her eyes, Sakura sees Clow Reed, who caused the inevitabilities around her as if it had been accidental. He says that the new staff was made by Sakura herself on her star power, not by the sun or the moon. Further, he assures her that her star power will grow brighter to light her way all the time.

Sakura wakes up on reaching the ground where their friends are waiting. She has become the mistress of all the Clow Cards. Yue is still anxious that Sakura's power is insufficient to control all the Cards, so Keroberos suggest they hang out with Sakura in their temporary forms, and come and help her if she needs.
