In capturing the Change Card, Syaoran and Kero's minds are exchanged because of the Cahnge's magic. To say simply, Kero is in Syaoran's body, and Syaoran in Kero's. To get their bodies back, they have to wait for 24 hours when the Change's magic is sufficiently weakened.
When Kero in Syaoran's body goes back to Syaoran's apartment, Meilin says they have to make their dinner because Wei is out late this evening. Kero, cooking for the first time, made a bad tasting soup, and talks like Kero, so Meilin feels something strange. On the other hand, Sakura takes Syaoran in Kero's body home, and Touya takes Yukito home. Sakura is happy, and Syaoran sneak out of Sakura's room to take a look at Yukito, but he ends up falling off the kitchen window.
Next morning, Sakura takes Syaoran in Kero's to school, where they see Kero in Syaoran's body is acting like a game character. Sakura and Syaoran warn Kero to keep his low profile in the backyard, when Tomoyo comes and notices their minds have been switched. Later, Kero still giving them a creep, when in a soccer game he runs on all fours. On the other hand, Syaoran is accidentally taken out from the classroom mistaken for a toy. After the class, Meilin finally notices their minds have been switched, but it was after Mr. Terada took him out. They follow him, and find that Syaoran in the crain game in the toy store, then Kero in Syaoran's body play the game to get him out, spending Syaoran's money though.
Later, they go back to the park, and Syaoran and Kero hug each other when Sakura uses the Change Card. Then they finally get back in their bodies.
The weather is so cold that the road in front of the school gate is frozen. When Sakura steps on the ice on her rollerblades, she slips and falls. Sakura feels a little anxious about the skating trip of next day, as she has never skated on ice.
Sakura has a strange dream, in which she is facing Tokyo Tower standing on the rooftop of a building. This time she can see someone standing on the tower, who has long hair and yellow eyes. Sakura wakes up in the morning with her head down out the bed.
In the skate rink on the field trip, Sakura sees Tomoyo skating, and she tries but soon she slips down. Syaoran and Meilin can not skate either, since they were brought up in Hong Kong. Guided by Ms. Mizuki, Sakura is learning how to skate. On the other hand, Syaoran is practicing by himself because he is suspicious about Ms. Mizuki.
After the lunch time, it gets freezing at the rink, and all except Sakura and Syaoran (and Ms. Mizuki) are frozen. It is the work of the Freeze Card, looking like a big fish swimming underneath the ice. In the successive Freze's attacks, Sakura crashes on the wall of ice, and faints. And Syaoran wakes her up and tells her about his plan that he will draw the Card out from the ice so she can seal it. Provoked by Syaoran, the Freeze Card jumps out of the ice, and at this moment, Sakura seals it. The sealed Card flies to Syaoran, and then the temperature rises back to normal.
The ward office is holding the Tomoeda Quiz Rally next Sunday, which is on the talk at school. Chiharu and Yamazaki are going to take part in it, because Yamazaki is very good at quiz things. Sakura asks Tomoyo to take part together, but Tomoyo likes to videotape her rather than participating, so Yukito offers to take part.
On the Sunday, Syaoran and Meilin turn out to take part in the Quiz Rally. The participants are all in pair, who are to run from one quiz place to another answering each question. The quiz places are located all over the town, and whoever answered ten questions gets the clue to find a relief picture of pinks hidden somewhere in town.
Yukito shows his smartness in the Quiz Rally, Sakura and Yukito clears the quiz one by one. Their final quiz place happens to be Tomoeda Elementary School, where Ms. Mizuki gives them a quiz. This time, scissors-paper-rock determines that Sakura should be the one to answer. Thinking for some minutes, Sakura answers correctly, so they has gotten the clue to the relief picture. When they are about to leave, Ms. Mizuki warns her to be careful because it is the day of full moon. Sakura and Yukito comes in the woods back of Penguin Park for looking for the relief picture. Sakura looks up and sees the full moon in the day sky, recalling Ms. Mizuki's warning, she gets dizzy and falling off the cliff. Yukito throws himself off to cath her safe. She wake up after dark to find Yukito has gotten seriously injured in his leg, but he shows her the relief picture he found between trees.
Touya and Sakura's friends are waiting for Sakura to come back, where Sakura and Yukito finally walks back. Yukito, quite unable to stand himself, is walking on Sakura's shoulder. Receiving the participation prize, Yukito smiles at Sakura.
Sakura dozes off in class and has a dream, in which she stands on the rooftop of a building facing Tokyo tower and sees someone with long hair. On the way home, Sakura and Tomoyo is talking about Christmas, Sakura is still thinking what to give to Yukito besides the gifts to Touya and Fujitaka are already decided. Next day, Meilin adivises her that any kinds of gift will work, and what counts is how hard you try to choose or make the gift.
Since Sakura was given the amusement park tickets Chiharu won at the Quiz Rally, she wants to ask Yukito to go out on a date, but she does not have enough courage to plunge. Finally, Kero pushes the speed dial on her cell phone, so she manage to ask him and he says yes.
Kero and Tomoyo secretly follow Sakura to videotape her date. Sakura is very happy being with Yukito in the amusement park, where they meet Syaoran and Meilin. They get together, and four of them enjoy the attractions. When they are having lunch, a strange thing happens. Illuminations on the wire catch on fire, and the fire spread. Syaoran freezes the time with his Card, and Sakura has to make the people around them sleep with her Card before the Time magic breaks. The fire spread in the Wind Sakura called upon, then Kero appears to advise she has to use Windy and Watery at the same time, as it is the Firey Card, an attack Card, one of the four elements. Difficult as it is, Sakura tries the double release, and it works. Sakura finally has captured the Firey Card.
While Sakura and Yukito are enjoying the Ferris wheel, Kero flies in the night sky and sprinkles the ember with his strengthened power due to the Firey Card. Sakura handed the plush doll of Yukito she made, and he is pleased with it. At last, he hopes they will come again next year, that makes Sakura feel marvelous.
