Sakura enjoys watching this TV program that features castles in the world, and she dreams about living in a castle. Touya teases her, saying that she isn't princess type, so she gets practically angry at him.
One day, Tomoyo visits Sakura with her handmade apple tart. She measures Sakura's sizes for disigning battle costumes to fit for Sakura. Furthermore, she has Sakura change into the costume she has brought, in which Sakura looks like Alice in Wonderland. Meanwhile, a Clow Card jumps into Sakura's house, then Sakura senses the presence, and walks into Fujitaka's room where she senses strongest. A tiny spirit jumps at Sakura, and she screams. She finds herself lying in the room in a tiny form. At the next minute, a gust of wind blows her out the window, before Kero and Tomoyo runs into the room.
Sakura, out of her house in the tiny form, is chased and almost hunted by a cat and a mantis in a row. She climbs the wall up to the bathroom window, and sees the Little Card giggle at her. Then she throws herself off into the bathtub filled with water.
Unfortunately, Touya comes home with Yukito, so Tomoyo has to distract them from the truth. She says she is going to bring her apple tart from upstairs, and takes Kero out of the room. Meanwhile, Sakura is running after the Little Card inside the house, and finally she meets up Kero. Sakura rides on Kero's back and crashes into the Little Card, grows back to the normal, and seals the Card. Throughout the adventure, Sakura is fed up with a big house.
When Sakura comes home from shopping, Touya is having his hair cut by Yukito. She is lucky that she also has her hair trimmed by him. Later, they starts cleaning the house. Meanwhile, this girl looking exactly like her is running in town and playing mischief, like knocking down the display of stuffed animals and pulling down the pencil rack into a mess.
Next morning, Sakura's friends said they saw Sakura's look-alike doing bad things, and Meiling believes it was Sakura. After school, while Sakura is having ice cream with Toumoyo, the look-alike is acting like a menace. When Sakura talks to Kero about her menacing look-alike, he tells her how to tell fortune with the Clow Cards. The fortune-telling says that some Cards already know that Sakura is the Cardcaptor, the identity of the menace is related to Shadow, Watery, and Illusion, and the menace is after what is associated with Flower. Sakura feels that Touya is in danger.
Meanwhile, Sakura's look-alike draws Touya into the woods; she says she has her stuff lost in the woods. As her sense guides her, Sakura runs into the woods, but she is distracted by evil sprits in the woods, so she gets lost. Luckily, Syaoran shows up in his search for the Clow Card, so Sakura asks him to locate her brother using his Lasin Board. At this time, Touya falls off the cliff and sprains his ankle badly unable to walk. Nevertheless, he is still kind not being angry, even though he has already found out she is not Sakura, so the look-alike deeply regrets what she has done. Sakura flies down the cliff, and shows up in front of the look-alike. None of bind or attack cards do not work on her, even though she is one of the Clow Cards. She is a special card, so Sakura needs to name it in order to seal her. Feeling sorry, the look-alike helps Sakura guess her identity, just copying Sakura's move. The look-alike turns out to be the Mirror, associated with Shadow, Watery, and Illusion.
Sakura determines herself to capture every one of the Clow Cards to stop them from doing mischief.
In hurring back to home, Sakura almost trips over the cat in the way, but a pretty woman seizes Sakura by the hand to place her back on her feet. She says “See you tomorrow,” before she leaves.
Next day, Sakura's class has a substitute math teacher named Ms. Mizuki, who happens to be the pretty woman Sakura saw the other day. Syaoran is suspicious of her as he senses the strong power from her.
Naoko says that an amulet selling in Tsukimine Shrine works great especially on love, so Sakura and Tomoyo stop at the shrine on their way home, where they meet Meiling and Syaoran. Sakura and Syaoran feel someting strange, when a bell rings out of nowhere. Subsequently, four of them get involved in a strange maze appearing in the shrine. The maze is so mysterious that they can not find the exit even though they follow their hands on the wall. When Sakura uses the Fly the wall grows higher, and when she cut it with the Sword it grows back. As if it were furious, the maze shakes like an earthquake, and becomes much more complicated. They find Meilin has displaced to the strange place, and even Li's magic cannot take her back, because the dimensions are completely warped.
Meanwhile, Fujitaka is anxious about Sakura not coming home, and he called Sakura's school to ask when she left her school. Touya goes out on his bike to look for her.
The three kids lost Meiling while they were walking in the tunnel. Unexpectedly, Ms. Mizuki takes Meiling back to them, and she breaks the walls to make their way out. Unlike when Sakura did it, the walls do not grow back, so they can walk outside, and Sakura can successfully seal the Maze Card. At this time, Touya comes into the shrine, and gets shocked at the sight of Ms. Mizuki, who seems already to know her.
Sakura sees the dream of Tokyo Tower and the Clow Cards, but this time she sees someone else standing on the tower. She wakes up early, and leaves home early for school. She takes a detour and stops at Tsukimine Shrine, where she sees Ms. Mizuki raking, and Yukito happens to show up. Sakura and Yukito help her raking in the garden of the shrine.
That night, when Ms. Mizuki is looking at the sacred tree in the shrine, a strong magic power appears and swirls above the tree. That power is strong enough to wake Kero up. Sakura and Kero trace the power to the shrine, when Syoran comes there alone. However, the magic power already disapeard by then, so Kero goes out of there to buy some drink. Sakura and Syaoran are talking together on a branch, but when he runs off the tree, Sakura is swallowed by the sacred cherry tree.
Sakura finds herself in front of the cherry tree, but the tree is full of cherry blossoms. Sakura sees someone coming, so she jumps up in the tree. She turns out to be in the past, when Touya and Ms. Mizuki first met; it was three years ago. She was the student teacher who came in Touya's school. They kept having a date for a year, until one night she breaks the news that she is going to study abroad, and she left Touya. Sakura observes this scene from up the tree, when Ms. Mizuki somehow looks like she knows Sakura is up in the tree. At the next minute, Sakura gets blind at a strong flash of light.
Sakura is drawn back to the present time by Syaoran who uses the Time Card to affect on the flow of time under the Return Card's control. Actually, the Return Card merged the sacred tree to get sufficient power to send Sakura to the past. When Sakura seals the Return Card, it floats to Syaoran.
