20. Sakura and the Fighting Exchange Student

New semester has begun, and Sakura feels a little happy because she can see Yukito on her way to school every morning. On the way, she hears about the news that a girl has been beaten up martial art experts in the park.

Sakura's class has a transfer student from Hong Kong, who Sakura happened to meet in Syaoran's apartment the other day. She is Meiling Li, Syaoran's cousin, and she calls herself Li's fiancée, and so jealous of Sakura that she challenges Sakura every chance she gets. In PE class, Meilin shows off to Sakura how well she performs cartwheels and free performance. However, Sakura does it as good as Meilin, so Meiling fiercely glares at Sakura.

At the dinner time, the girl who beats up skilled fighters is on the talk. The news paper says that she wears an unusual costume, so Sakura thinks she might be a Clow Card.

When Sakura, Tomoyo, and Kero are waiting for the Card to show up, Meiling appears and says it is the work of the Fight Card. Soon the Fight shows up and challeges Meiling to a fight, because it wants a stronger opponent. The battle starts out advantageous to Meiling, but the situation changes in a minute, when Syaoran jumps into the scene and saves her. But he gets beaten up at the moment of its revenge. Furious Meiling attacks the Fight, but it is too strong for her. Sakura uses the Power Card to strength herself and challenge, and she happens to defeat and seal the Card, just by a luck shot. After all, she succeeded in capturing the Card, nevertheless Meiling even does not like it.

21. Sakura's Long Marathon

Sakura's class is training for the marathon race. Sakura and Syaoran are almost as fast as each other, that Mr. Terada admit their speed. Meiling is very confident, but she has never run such a destance, so she does not know the pace she has to keep; she gets worn out before she can reach the goal. Besides, Tomoyo had sprained her ankle, but she is practically happy because she can videotape Sakura running the race.

That night, Meiling pushes herself into the training, but she soon has a twitch on her stomach. Wei comes to her and advises her on how to breathe and on the pace to keep in a long-distance race. She resumes her training, and kind of gets the hang of it.

The very day of the marathon race, Syaoran and Meiling start out ahead of everyone, and Sakura follows them just behind them. In the route, they find something strange; they are running the same place over and over. To make the matter worse, Meiling sprains her ankle. Actually, the Loop Card has made up a loop within their route, and three of them have gotten involved. According to Kero's advice, Sakura and Syaoran look for an unnatural spatial connection. As soon as they can find it, Sakura and Syoran cut the connection with each other's sword. The sealed Card floats to Sakura's hand, in other words, Sakura's slash was a little earlier.

Unfortunatelly, all the kids except them have already reached the goal. Syaoran carries injured Meiling on his back, and Sakura walks back to school with them. The last runners to goal though they are, they seem to be happy.

22. Sakura and Her Kind Father

Fujitaka is very busy organizing meterials for his presentation, so Sakura and Touya offer to do all the housekeeping chores in order that their father can concentrate on his work. When she brings him a midnight snack, Fujikata tells her that he, as an archeologist, wants to reveal, to all the people in the world, the long human history built up by many people in their respective eras.

Taking Kero and Tomoyo, Sakura brings some food to Fujitaka working in Touwa university. There, they meet Fujitaka's assistants, who shows them Fujitaka's lecture. Afterwards, Sakura finds him sleepy because he has slept little, so Sakura and Tomoyo buy him and his assitants coffee. When she is back in the office, Fujitaka's assistants fall into asleep before her eyes. That was the work of the Sleep Card. Sakura chases the Card and drives it into a room, where she has the Windy Card bind the Sleep and successfully captures it. Unfortunately, she finds out she crashes Fujitaka's laptop computer during the battle. Fujitaka is generous enough to forgive her fault.

Next morning, Fujitaka plans to restore his work by handwriting, and asks Sakura to be his one-day assistant. Sakura is ready to be one. With his own efforts, and Sakura and Touya's assist, Fujitaka finishes his paper before the daybreak.

23. Sakura, Tomoyo, and Lovely Songs

The rumor says that the music classroom in Tomoeda Elementary is haunted. A girl in the choir heard someone sing in the room the night before when she returned to school to take her forgotten stuff. It is not just a rumor; Sakura can feel something strange in the music classroom, and so can Syaoran.

Touya also heard about the rumor, that some students at Seijou High heard someone sing, and located the source at the music classroom of Tomoeda Elementary. Though she was scared of the rumor, she gets herself brave when Yukito says that he wants to listen to the song as they say it was sung in a sweet voice.

When Sakura takes the plunge and comes to school with Kero and Tomoyo that night, Syaoran and Meiling comes there, too. They hear a song from the music classroom, but Meiling is so impulsive that she opens the door, only to let the singer escape. But they hear the song from flights up, so they rush up the stairs. It is the Song Card copying Tomoyo's song, but it escapes out on the rooftop at the moment Meilin barks at Kero who made fun of her. They step out on the rooftop, and Tomoyo sings her set piece, then the Song Card joins the song and makes a good harmony with Tomoyo. As the mood goes up, the Song shows its visible form, when Sakura seals it. Afterwards, she releases the Card to tape Tomoyo and the Song Card's marvelous duet, because she remembers Yukito wanted to listen to the song.
