Sakura had transformed all the Clow Cards she captured into Sakura Cards of her own magic. Now that it’s four months since Eriol and Syaoran left Tomoeda, and there’s no mysterious things happen to take care of. However, Tomoyo manages to have opportunities to videotape Sakura by making up a fictitous stuation with the Create Card. When Sakura and Tomoyo watch the footage Tomoyo recorded, Sakura whose mind is stick to Syaoran back in Hong Kong said she wants to tell him her feelings in person just like he did before he left Tomoeda.
Although it’s in the summer break, Sakura is very busy these days preparing Nadeshiko festival, Tomoeda’s annual event. Her class is to represent Tomoeda Elementary showing a play. On her way to school, she can see the preparation for the festival is in progress whole of the city, so she feels excited. When it comes to rehearsal of the play, Sakura playing the princess has some parts she isn’t good at, but Tomoyo encourages her that she’s getting more convincible being the princess. On their way home, Sakura and Tomoyo find a poster on the bulletin board in the park that an amusement park is nearly opened where Eriol’s mansion used to be. On the other hand, in the amusement park, a strange power arises at the clock tower, then a spirit in the form of a little girl with curly long hair appears lonesomely.
Next day, Sakura and Tomoyo drop by the amusement park, when Sakura feels something strange. She rushes in the amusement park that is not officially opened, and bumps into Syaoran and Meilin in their visit to Japan. Actually, their visit was planned by Tomoyo and Meilin to give Sakura an opportunity to confess her feeling to Syaoran. Meilin assures Sakura that she had her engagement with Syaoran cancelled. With graciousness, Meilin and Tomoyo pretend being busy and ask Sakura to treat Syaoran to dinner.
Sakura lets Syaoran in her house. When they’re having tea, Sakura hears her heart racing hard. When she made up her mind to confess, Kero interrupts them in smelling cake on the table. Just as before, Kero and Syaoran don’t get along at all. It’s also when the dinner is over, Kero almost starts a fight with Syaoran, but Sakura warned him as he float back upstairs, saying he is tired of playing video games all day. Left alone in the kitchen, Sakura tries to confess her feelings—but then Touya comes home with Yukito.
Sakura sees Syaoran off at the porch. He said he’ll be going to school next day, so she felt very happy. On the other hand, Touya is in a bad mood to see Syaoran back in town. Furthermore, in unlit Sakura’s room, where Kero is sound asleep, the Change Card disappears from the deck.
Next morning, the class crowd around Syaoran and Meilin with joy from the unexpected reunion. Takashi finds that Syaoran has gotten a little taller since he left Japan. On the other hand, Meilin talks to Tomoyo and makes sure that Sakura wasn’t able to tell Syaoran how she felt the last night. However, Tomoyo seems kind of happy that there’ll be an opportunity for her to record Sakura confessing her feelings. Meilin sweatdrops to hear that.
On the way home, Meilin told Sakura that the princess in the play must be dense with the intention of advising Sakura telling her feelings to Syaoran. It’s hot out there, then Sakura suggests a soft drink and runs up the hill, as she is puzzled that the mailbox that’s supposed be at the corner is not around any more. Meilin replies they must have gotten rid of it. When Sakura gets back home, Kero who has been playing games all day again makes a new record, so he asks Sakura for sending a letter to Eriol because he wants to let Suppi know about his new record. Since Sakura wants to write about Syaoran and Meilin, she writes a letter late on that night in her bed. As soon as she fell into asleep on her face, a Sakura Card disappears.
Next day, while walking in the city, Meilin and Tomoyo takes off leaving Sakura and Syaoran alone to give them another opportunity. When Sakura begins her confession, a big rabbit suit comes stand between them and she screams. Yukito runs to them and reveals that it was Touya in the rabbit suit who scared her. Yukito offers that he and Touya buy the four kids ice cream to make up for it. Under the shady tree, Yukito asks Sakura if she found someone she likes more than anybody else, and she says yes. He smiles and said that his other self is glad, too.
Next day, Sakura’s gang found that the bridge in the park totally disappeared. Sakura reports it to Kero but he says he has no idea.
Further, next day, Meilin set up another opportunity for Sakura, and the four kids come to the new amusement park. They have a good time with the roller coster and the carousel. When she was enjoying a big swing, Sakura blushes to find Syaoran seeing her from the ground. Next, Meilin suggests Sakura and Syaoran sharing a car of the Ferris wheel. Alone inside a car, Sakura doesn’t bring herself to speak, but when she made up her mind she feels a strange presence. At the same time, some Cards fly out and disappear. On getting off the car, Sakura and Syaoran run and trace the strange presence. They run into the Mirror House in chase of the presence, where they see a little girl beyond a mirror wall. When Sakura tries to use a Card, the little girl disables and steals some Cards before disappearing.
Back in her room, when Sakura tells Kero about the little girl who stole the Cards, there is a call on her cell phone. It was from Eriol, who says there was one more Clow Card sealed beneath Clow Reed’s mansion. The Card has a negative power that turns everything into nothingness. So it’s the Card that erased the mailbox and the bridge. Not only that, but the little girl Sakura saw in the amusement park was the Card itself. The Card has the same amount of powers as all of the 52 Sakura Cards put together. All she has to do is to seal the Card and to transform it into a Sakura Card like other Cards. However, in order to succeed, she has to give the most important feelings in exhange. Whose feelings will be determined by the Card, Eriol says, namely, the one who has the most powerful magical power at the moment.
It’s raining on the day before Nadeshiko festival. Sakura’s class rehearse the play from the beginning through the end. When the play is over, Mr. Terada claps his hands and praises their good performance. On the way home, Sakura talks to Syaoran about the sealed Card as Eriol told her on the phone. She is depressed she has to give the most important feelings in exchange. Syaoran said it can’t be helped if there’s no other way, then she runs out in the rain with sadness. Running in the city, Sakura bumps into Yukito, who takes her to the Penguin Park to shelter from the rain. He turns into Yue so Sakura feels comfortable to talk about the problem. To hear the problem, Yue says that Clow Reed must have created nothing with only the purpose of harm to the world. He encouraged her that there must be other way and that she can find it.
On the day of Nadesiko festival, the sky is clear unlike the day before. Sakura’s friends worry about Sakura because she looks a little pale since she didn’t have much sleep. But then the sealed Card appeared in the playground of the school. The Card took some Sakura Cards including the Sleep that Sakura used to set other students into sleep. When the sealed Card is gone, Takashi bumps his shoulder hard, then he’s unable to play the stage. He suggested Syaoran playing the lead role for him, instead of canceling the play.
Tomoyo was singing on the open-air stage fabcated in the city, meanwhile, Sakura’s class are preparing for their play. Syaoran is dressed in the prince costume, and Meilin is in maid costume. Sakura in the princess costume faces the mirror in a greenroom. Tomoyo runs into the greenroom when her song is done.
Sakura’s class’s play begins with a masked ball. Sakura being the princess is lead by attendants into the stage. The princess is nervous of shareing a dance with a stranger, but she is worrying about the magic stone that causes the endless war against the neighboring country. There comes a man who agrees with her idea that the magic stone should be gone beyond human’s reach. It was the prince, performed by Syaoran. Then they begin dancing on the stage. A while passed, and the play shifts to the scene of prince’s confession. The princess told him to forget anything about her, and stands on her feet to leave—then an incident happened. Some Sakura Cards fly away, spot lights burst, and every thing and everyone disappear in black spheres shot around there. All who remain are Sakura, Syaoran, Tomoyo, Meilin, and Kerberos, and Yue. Tomoyo insists that Sakura and Syaoran wear the battle costume she made to be superstitious, for the reason that Sakura used to wear the costumes Tomoyo made for her every time she took off for her mission and she returned with a smile. Then Sakura and Syaoran are willing to change into the costume that Tomoyo offers.
The city is quiet as dead. People are gone, and parts of buildings are erased as if they were ladled. When Sakura’s gang are on top of a building, the next attack raids on them. Some Sakura Cards flew away all of a sudden. Sakura released the Windy to blow the escaping Cards back, but the sealed Card disables the magic and took the Cards including the Windy. Subsequently, erasing spheres are shot successively as Tomoyo and Meilin disappear eventually. Just by the luck resulting from the misfortune, where the Cards flew to means that the sealed Card is in the amusement park.
Sakura and Syaoran flew on Kerberos’ back with Yue flying by the side. When they landed in the middle of the amusement park the carousel horses leapt to attack. Yue takes a force shield to block them as the horse breaks motionless. Needless to say, the Card is behind this. When the Viking Boat falls toward Sakura, she dodges and jumps onto the roller coaster track. No time to take a rest, the Jump Card is taken away and the roller coaster runs down the slope to attack. No matter how fast she runs, it gains on her in no time; she freezes the moment with the Time Card. Sakura can see the sealed Card by the peak of the track, then she questions what the Card wants from her. The Card takes the Time Card instead of answering her, so the coaster flips Sakura off the track. Luckily, Kerberos catches her safe in the air. Yue and Kerberos fight back at the sealed Card, but can’t give any harm to the Card. The two guardians disappeared in a black sphere.
Syaoran thought that Clow Reed’s magic doesn’t work on the sealed Card, and that he can do something since his magic doesn’t belong to Clow Reed. He runs after the Card and jump up on the Ferris wheel to the top. Syaoran now face the car in which the sealed Card is riding, then he used his magic with his incantation cards. Although the sealed Card takes a force field, his magic gives her agony. Getting annoyed, she explodes a ripple of magic to blow him. Unfortunately, Syaoran disappears before Sakura on the Fly Card can catch him.
Depressed with shock, Sakura can see the sealed Card fleeing
as she chased the Card at the full speed. As soon as Sakura
enters the clock tower in the chase, the Card persistently blasts
erasing spheres as Sakura dodges the blow in zigzag in flying
up toward the top. However, the Fly Card was stolen; Sakura falls
down onto the head of pendulum. In no time, the sealed Card
erases the arm of the pendulum as Sakura barely jumps to the
stairway on the wall before the pendulum crashes. The sealed Card
floats down in front of Sakura. To hear Sakura insisting she has to
seal her, the Card shoots two erasing spheres in upset. Sakura dodges
the blow, and there are holes and gaps on the stairway and the wall.
The Card told Sakura not to get in the way of making friends.
Sakura denies her and swears that
she just took the Cards not making friends. At this moment,
the Sakura Cards pop out from the sealed Card. Feeling abandoned,
the sealed Card crouches into tears, when the Cards form a bridge
for Sakura to get closer to the sealed Card. That means they want
her to join them. Sakura convinces her, re-seals and transforms
the Card into a Sakura Card. At the moment of the transformation, a black
sphere encloses Syaoran who is standing in the stairway across the
gap. That means Syaoran’s feeling is to disappear
in exchange because Syaoran has the strongest power at the moment
when Sakura has run out of her powers. At Sakura’s scream of distress,
the nameless Card, which Sakura created on the day Syaoran went back
to Hong Kong, comes out and merged with the sealed Card into the Hope
Card. Sakura finds Syaoran still standing across the gap, she
tells him how she feels. When she’s about to cry, he replies
“And you’re mine.” Nothing was lost in exchange.
Soon afterwards, the sun rises as everthing turns back to normal.
Making an approach run, Sakura
joyfully jump across the gap in the stairway to Syaoran, saying
“I love you.”
