Play Misty for Tori

Summary

Sakura and Madison are seeing around Reediington High Festival. Walking down the hall, Sakura find Julian in a kimono when he's working for his class's Japanese food booth. When they're enjoying Japanese snack, Li was also there glaring at Sakura. Julian says he is having a break, and he offers to take them around.

On the other hand, Tori's class is busy with preparing for the play that is scheduled in the auditorium. Boys including Tori are carrying a heavy prop trunk to the stage. Beside them, girls ask Vicky if she has memorized all her lines. She replied most them, they tell her to go back to practice if she doen't want to blow it. Then she walks off for practicing.
What were the girls talking about? In CCS, the two girls teasingly said to Youko that she is qualified to go out on a date with Touya. Youko really having crush on him turned kind of disgusted and walked off.

Outside, on a desk there are cute stuffed bunny for prizes, but to win one of them, they have to get a bascket against the five best player in the bascketball team. The one who challenges is Julian, who takes a smooth move and gets a goal—successfully three times in a row, in order to get a toy each for Sakura, Madison, and Li.

Sakura and the others come into the auditorium to see the play by Tori's class. The play turned to be Cinderella, and yet Tori is playing the heroine! To meke it even weirder, the stepmother and the disgusting sisters are all boys. Because of the casting and Tori's lousy acting, Sakura feels embarrassed. On the other hand, Vicky acting the prince is cool. Meanwhile mysterious mist arises and sneaks into the auditorium. The mist has a horrible power that it corrode everything it touches, then it causes a serious accident and breaks a balcony on which Tori and Vicky are standing. They almost fall off. Sakura and Li senses a Clow Card, and rush up into the control room where nobody can see them. Sakura asked Kero over the phone about what has just happened, and he mentions the Mist Card is behind. Based on Kero's advice, Sakura has the Shadow Card round up the Mist inside and she successfully captures the Card. But at the moment, the suspended balcony tatally breaks apart sending Tori and Vicky off in the air. Luckily, Li's wind magic can save them in the nick of time.
You see Julian in a strange costume? This was editted out in CC but Yukito in CCS played as the enchanted spirit of makerel with the role as the Fairy Godmother.

After the play, Tori and Vicky are on the rooftop. Vicky was grateful to Tori since he had saved her from falling on the stage. Tori couldn't found a nice word to say to Vicky who felt bad about their play that was in a mess.
Hey, why did Nelvana change the scene into something like this?! In CCS, this was the romantic scene that Youko confessed her feeling to Touya. However, he didn't accept her because he had someone else precious in his mind.

In the twilight, they have a bonfire dance in the playground. Sakura finds out Tori and Vicky are dancing around the fire. When Tori walks back to Sakura, Julian asks her in to the bonfire dance in turn. Sakura is enchanted when she's dancing with Julian.
