Julian | Here. [Hand Sakura a drink] |
Sakura | Huhh.. thanks Julian. |
Julian find a bascket beside Sakura.
Julian | You should've let me put that in the trunk for you. |
Sakura | Heh heh heh... It's not that big. |
In driving the car, Aiden asks Tori who is check the map.
Aiden | Hmmm... Do you think we are almost there? |
Tori | Yeah, it should be just up ahead of little ways. |
Sakura | I can't wait to get there. |
Julian | Me neither. |
S&J | Heh heh heh. |
The car keeps running on the road.
Aiden | I was thinking, Julian, that we're going to have to invite you and your family over to our place for dinner one of these days. You and Tori have been best friends for quite some time now. And I haven't still met your parents. |
Julian | Well, it's me and grandma and grandpa. But I'm sure they'd love to come over. |
Tori | Make a left here. |
The car turns left as Tori said.
Sakura and the others arrives at the summer house.
Sakura | Nnnhh... uuhhh... [Stretching her back] |
Sakura looks at the wooden cattage from the front.
Sakura | This is where we get to stay? |
Aiden | That's right, Sakura. The oweners usually spend in summers here, but lucky for us, they're overseas this year. |
Sakura | Wow! |
Aiden | And you can and visit your gtandpa as often as you like. He lives just down the way over there. |
Sakura | Oh, great! |
Sakura opens the wooden door and finds inside is neat. Sakura runs back out the door.
Sakura | Hey Dad! Thank you for bringing us here. |
Walking back inside, Sakura put a picture of her mother on the shelf.
Sakura | It's quite in peace here, Mom. Don't you think? |
When she gets in the room for her on the second floor, Sakura gets so excited that she jumps onto the bed with the backet... forgetting the Kero is inside.
Sakura | Heh heh! |
Kero | Duhhh... |
Sakura | Oohh! |
She hurries and opens the bascket; immediately Kero flies out in anger.
Kero | Hey, girly. Did you forget that I was in there, or what?! |
Sakura | I'm sorry. I was so excited to be here, Kero. |
He flies around the room to look.
Kero | This place is really cool, isn't there. |
Sakura | Told you and we're here for a whole week. |
Kero | It's then you almost did make a sandwitch out on me. |
Sakura | I said I'm sorry, Kero. |
Kero | I guess I can forgive you... if you are to bring me some desser tonight Dad made. |
Sakura | We're on vacation, and all you can think about is food? |
Kero | Yeah, so? |
Sakura | There are other things in life, you know. |
Kero | But nothing is as good as sweets. |
Sakura | One of these days, I'm going to make you accesories... |
Kero | Duhh... [Falling] |
Sakura | Huh? |
Tori and Aiden are checking the water, while Julian is putting food in the fridge.
Tori | Ok, it still works on the waters on. |
Aiden | Great, I guess we'll go get some groceries. |
Sakura | Are you going out? |
Aiden | We are going pick up some food for dinner. You are going to come town with us, or would rather go visit your grandpa? |
Sakura | I'll go see grandpa. |
Julian | His house is so close to this one. Did you see it on the way up, Sakura? |
Sakura | No, did you? |
Julian | Yeah, just down the rain way. |
Tori | The monster was in the sleep. |
Sakura | I was not! |
Aiden drives his car to town with Tori and Julian.
Sakura | Hurry back, Dad! |
She steps up into the cattage.
Sakura | Come on, Kero. Let's go outside. |
Kero | Coming! |
Sakura is walking on the rainway, with Kero floating beside her.
Kero | Why, you didn't tell me your grandpa lived here. And what is he like, Sakura? |
Sakura | You'll see. |
Sakura enjoys the view from up on a bridge and takes a deep breath in the woods.
Sakura | This is the place. |
Kero | Uhhh, it's huge! |
Sakura is standing in front of a white house with a huge garden shrubbed at the edge to the pathway.
Sakura | They didn't tell me that it was so big! |
Kero | Who didn't? |
Sakura | Dad and my brother. They've been here before. |
Kero | Uhh, you haven't come here with them? |
Sakura | I was too little back then. |
Kero | Hmm. Come on, let's go check this out. |
When she steps into the garden...
Grandpa | Sakura? |
Sakura | Whoa! |
Kero jumps into the shrub in response, when she looks right and left to check who it was. It was Sakura's grandpa, calling her up on the patio.
Grandpa | It's good to see you. Come up for a snack! |
Grandpa seats Sakura in a gentlemanly manner at the table where a drink and snacks are ready.
Grandpa | Here you go. |
That night, Sakura, Tori, and Julian are having barbecue outside the cottage.
Tori | So how do you do want your steaks? |
Julian | Medium well, please. |
Sakura | I'm not picky. They all look great. |
Tori | Thanks. |
Aiden comes out of the cottage, with two plats of food.
Aiden | All ready. |
Julian | Great! |
Sakura | I'm starving. |
Tori | Let's eat. |
While Tori is putting barley tea for the four, Julian is eating meat in a incredible pace.
Aiden | So was grandpa surprised to see you? |
Sakura | Yeah, he was. But not nearly surprised I was to see his house. Dad, you didn't tell me how beautiful it was. We had tea on the patio. |
Tori | I hope you left some for him? |
Sakura | Tori! |
Julian | He couldn't make it tonight? |
Sakura | No, he went into town. |
Sakura is eating barbecue.
Sakura | Grandpa said that I should make sure to stop by again tomorrow for a little visit. |
Aiden | That sounds good. It's nice we're staying so closed to him, isn't it. |
Madison is watching the video on a big screen of Sakura's action that she videotaped. When her cell phone rings.
Madison | Hello, Taylor residence. |
Sakura | Hey, Madison, it's Sakura. |
Madison | Hey, Sakura. |
Kero | I'm here, too, Madison. |
Madison | Key, Kero. How's the vacation going? |
Sakura calling Madison is standing by her bed dressed in her PJs.
Sakura | Great! It's really quite beautiful here. I wish you could've come along with us, too, Madison. |
Madison | Well, that's OK. Mom's taking me to the stone museum tomorrow. |
Sakura | You're going to love it there. |
Kero is eating a dessert beside Sakura.
Madison | I can't wait. |
Sakura | I saw the house that Mom grew up today. It's so big, Madison. You wouldn't believe it. And Grandpa's garden was so pretty it should be in a movie. |
Madison | Wow! He lives there all alone? |
Sakura | Yeah, he does! And it's so peaceful and quiet. I think you'd really like it all there. |
Madison | That would be nice. When we were tired we should live up in the country, too. |
Sakura | And get houses right next door to each other. |
Madison | Heh heh heh. So when are you coming back? I want show you the capture I just editted. |
Sakura | In a couple of days. See you soon. |
Madison | See you. Have fun. |
Madison hangs up, and restarts checking the video.
On the other hand, Sakura is sitting up in bed.
Kero | Are you going to go back to Grandpa's tomorrow? |
Sakura | Yeah, I think so. |
Kero | Don't forget to bring me back some sweets for me. |
Sakura | You really are pain when it comes for food. |
Kero | Yeah, yeah... whatever, I'll turn of the lights. |
Sakura lie in the bedding.
Kero | Good night, Sakura. Sweet dreams. |
Sakura | Sweet dreams. |
The light turns out. | |
It is sunny next morning; Aiden is working with his laptop on the deck of the cattage, Sakura is going out to her grandpa's house.
Sakura | See you. |
Aiden | Hold on, Sakura. I baked some cookie last night. |
Sakura | Whoa! |
Aiden | Why don't you bring these to Grandpa. |
Sakura takes the cookies wrapped in a picnic napkin.
Sakura | Thank you, Dad. |
Aiden | Say hi to him for me. |
Sakura | 'K. |
Tori and Julian are making a cool tea on the table outside.
Tori | You're leaving already? |
Sakura | Yep. |
Julian | See you later. |
Sakura | Bye, guys! |
Sakura joyfully runs. | |
Sakura trots up on the patio where she enjoyed the snack the day before.
Grandpa | Sakura. [Calls from behind] |
Sakura | Huh? |
Grandpa is on the balcony.
Grandpa | Come on up! |
Sakura | How? |
Sakura looks around to figure out which way she should go.
Grandpa | Go around the front. |
Sakrua runs on the roofted deck to the front door, through which she walks in.
Sakura | Ohh... Wow, it's so big inside. |
When Sakura is about to step on the stairs in the hall, Grandpa calls her from the second floor.
Grandpa | Over here. Up a little higher. Ha ha ha. |
When Sakura runs up the stairs, he waves her hand by the door of a room.
Grandpa | There you are. |
Sakura walks in the room as he motion her. That is a pretty room for a girl.
Sakura | Wow! Oh, look how pretty! |
The room is full of dolls and stuffed toys. She beams at the gigantic teddy bear laid on the bed.
Sakura | Oh, good morning, Grandfather. How are you doing, today? |
Grandpa | Oh, good morning, Sakura. I am doing quite well. |
Sakura | This was Mom's bedroom, wasn't it, Grandpa? |
Grandpa | Yes, it was. |
Sakura enjoys looking at the number of dalls on the shelf.
Sakura | Look at all the cute things she had. Mom liked stuffed animals, too. |
Grandpa | She loved them. [Calmly] So much she used to take them for a walk to the garden. |
Sakura | What else did Mom like to do? |
Grandpa | Heh heh. |
Grandpa takes Sakura outside and they starts to play tennis. First, he shows her how to serve a ball. Sakura tries and smile nervously.
Grandpa | Great serve. |
Next, he shows her how to swing the racket. Then they starts a game. Soon Sakura gets the hang of it, she can enjoy a rally with Grandpa---until she hit the ball far beyond.
Sakura | Uhhh... |
Grandpa | Time for a break. [Smiles] |
Sakura and Grandpa sit at the patio of the day before, having tea.
Sakura | I hope Kero is not wading the fridge right now. |
Grandpa | Your Mom was quite a tennis player. But I think you might have been even more tanlented than she did. |
Sakura | Do you know if Mom ever played any tournament? |
Grandpa | Oh, no. She didn't have keener instincts of the court than you have. [Winks and smiles] |
Sakura | Heh heh... [Nervously] |
Grandpa | I'll go over to grab some snacks on. |
Sakura | Oh, I forgot. |
Sakura dashes away and comes back in a minute with the picnic napkin of cookies.
Sakura | Huph... huph... Here... |
Grandpa | What's this. |
Sakura | My Dad said me... he baked these specially for you. |
Grandpa | Oh, thank you. |
He takes it and unwraps.
Grandpa | Oh, my. |
Sakura | My Dad is a gread cook, so they should be really good. Oh? |
Grandpa looks silently at the cookies.
Grandpa | Hmmm. How is your father these days? |
Sakura | Fine! |
Grandpa | He is good to you two, isn't he. |
Sakura | He's such a great Dad. He comes and watches Tori and I perform at school. And he takes us to a place like this in the summer house. And he's trying so hard to be good Dad even though he was so. |
Grandpa | Ha ha. Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun together. |
Sakura | We do. |
Grandpa takes a bite one of the cookies.
Grandpa | Delicious. |
Sakura smiles. | |
Back in the house, Sakura is dressed in a dress with a big ribbon around the waist, wearing a while hat.
Sakura | Did this belong to Mom, too? |
Grandpa | It was her favorite dress. It really suites you well. |
Sakura giggles and runs infront of the mirror to check the relection.
Grandpa | You know what? |
Sakura | What? |
Grandpa | You look just like her. I think you should keep it, Sakura. |
Sakura | No, I couldn't. |
Grandpa | Please, Sakura. I know she'd love for you to have it. |
Sakura | Do you really think so, Grandpa? |
Grandpa | I know it. |
Sakura | Hmmm... |
Sakura spots and walks to the picture on the desk.
Sakura | What's this? |
Grandpa | Your Mom painted that one. |
Sakura | A rainbow. |
Grandpa | Natasha knew that I love rainbows. She was kind enought to paint that one just for me. We saw so many rainbows from this very window. |
Sakura | It's so peaceful. |
Grandpa | Your Mom was a gentle soul. |
Back in the cottage, Sakura talks about her Grandpa to Kero.
Kero | Oh, nice. |
Sakura | Yeah, but he kind of seems lonely. |
Kero | Did you think up of something to do for him, yet? |
Sakura | No, but I have tried to think up of something. |
Kero | Yeah, I know. What do you get to man who has everything? |
Sakura | Can you think up of anything, Kero. |
Kero | Hmmm. Hey, do you know what he really likes? |
Sakura | Ummm... Oh, rainbow! He loves rainbows. |
Kero | Rainbows, huh? Oh, I know! |
Kero and Sakura smiles at each other.
Next day, Gradpa is trimming the roses in the garden, when Sakura comes.
Grandpa | Oh, hello, Sakura. |
Sakura | Hi, Grandpa. We have to leave today. |
Grandpa | That's a shame. |
Sakura | Yeah. Umm... I have a little favor I want to ask you. |
Grandpa | Hmm? |
Sakura | After I leave, could go out the window and stand on the balcony for me, please? |
Grandpa | Out on the balcony? |
Sakura | Could you say yes? |
Grandpa | If it's important to you, of course. |
Sakura | Thank you for doing me all things. |
Grandpa | It's my pleasure, Grandaughter. |
Sakura | See you soon. |
Grandpa | Take care. |
Giggling Sakura runs a hundred feet until she turns back.
Sakura | Bye, Grandpa. See you soon, OK? We'll miss you a lot. And don't forget to go up on the balcony as you promised, OK? |
Grandpa | I won't. |
Sakura | And I'll take good care of Mom dress. I promise. |
Sakura runs away. | |
Kero | All set. No one will see or hear from here. |
Sakura | Uh-hmm. |
Sakura takes the Rain Card to call.
Sakura | Rain Card, listen to thy might and create a beautiful rainbow. Release! |
Sakura hits the Card with her wand so the spirit of the Rain appears up in the sky who starts the rainfall. Up on the second floor, Grandpa hears rainfall.
Grandpa | Rain? |
He opens the curtain to check outside. He stands on the balcony watching the rain until the rain stops. When the clouds are away, surpringly to him, Grandpa sees a rainbow.
Grandpa | Oh! |
He remembers back when Natasha is a child.
Natasha | Father, Father, look! |
Natasha dressed in her favorite dress---that he gave over to Sakura---is down in the garden points to the sky.
Natasha | Father, look. It's a rainbow. |
She is smiling at him and jogs... fading out from his sight.
Sakura | I think he is pretty happy. Don't you? |
Kero | Defnitely. |
Sakura runs back to her cottage. Now, Aiden and the two teenagers are packing their stuff for returning home.
Tori | Where have you been, squirt, when we are leaving? |
Sakura | Just saying bye to our Grandpa. |
Aiden | There you are. |
Sakura | Sorry I'm late, Dad. I'll run getting my stuff. |
Aiden | Did you have a good time? |
Sakura | Yeah, Mom and I have a lot in common. |
Aiden | Hmmm. |
Sakura runs into the cattage, when Tori waiting for her complains.
Tori | Oh, man. That girl is never on time. |
Aiden | Don't be too hard on her, Tori. I think Sakua and your Grandpa have a lot of catching up to do. |
Aiden put the picture of Natasha on the deck before walking down off the deck. |
