I was already late for dinner.
So I thought I could take a shortcut through the woods. もう夕食の時間に遅れそうだったの。 だから、近道して裏山を抜けようかと思ってたの。 |

A sudden sound just startles Nikki, but once she knows
it was just a crow she breathes sigh of relief.
At the next minute, she saw a glowing ball floating toward her. 突然、音がして奈緒子はハッとするが、カラスとわかって安堵のため息をつく。 次の瞬間、光の玉が奈緒子の方に向かってくる。 | |

Huh? え? |

The ball flies deep in the woods, she follows it. 光の玉は森の奥に入っていき、奈緒子はそれを追いかける。 | |

I thought it was a firefly. But I was wrong... ホタルか何かだと思ったの。 でもそうじゃなかった... |

The glowing ball, when it comes to the cliff, flashes a
blinding light---from out of nowhere a monster with one big
eye appears before her eyes. 光の玉は、崖の所にくると、目が眩むよな光を放ち、どこからともなく、 一つ目の化け物が奈緒子の前に現れる。 | |

Uh... Aaaah! あ... きゃああ! |
| Chelsea |
Come on, Nikki. Did that really happen? あのね、奈緒子ちゃん。 それホントのことなの? |

Sakura is timidly walking as if she was shielded by Madison.
The moment she hears a noise, she gets scared. さくらは知世のかけに隠れながら、ビクビクしながら歩いている。 物音を聞いて、さくらは怖がる。 | |

Sakura's gang arrive the cliff where Nikki saw the monster. さくらたちは、奈緒子がお化けを見た崖に着く。 | |

Hmm, maybe it doesn't come out till after dark. ふぅん、暗くならないと出ないのかしら。 |

When she turns back, Sakura see a glowing ball in the woods.
The ball flashes a bright light, and suddenly a woman in a shadow
appears in the vision. All the kids hurriedly run out of the spot. 振り返ると、さくらは森の中に光る玉を見つける。 玉はまぶしい光を発し、女の人影が目の前に現れる。 さくらたちは一目散に逃げる。 | |

I saw her! I saw the ghost! 女の人だ! 女の人の幽霊が! |

So I mean, scared of that lizard face! 気味の悪いトカゲみたいな顔! |

One big eye swirling around! 大きな一つ目で! |
| Rita |
It had a long shorn face like a... まる坊主の長い顔で、まるで... |

Big hamburger. 大きなハンバーガー。 |
| Girls |
Huh? え? |
| Madison |
Well, I don't know. But if you ask me, it looked like a
giant hamburger. よくわからないんですが、わたしが見たのは、 巨大なハンバーガーみたいでしたわ。 |

At that night, Sakura is taking a bath with Kero. その夜、さくらはケロと一緒にお風呂に入っている。 | |

Uh, don't tell me you're afraid of ghosts. まさか、お化けが怖いやゆーんやないやろな。 |

But you fight Clow Cards all the time. いつもクロウカードと戦っとるのにか。 |

Yeah. But I can sense when a Clow Card's around.
Ghosts just appear from nowhere and scare you. だって、クロウカードはそばにいたら気配がわかるじゃない。 ユーレイは突然現れて怖いんだもん。 |

I think you see one too many scary movie, Sakura.
You said everyone saw something different right?
Hmm, but a Clow Card would do that? 怖い映画だっていっぱい観るやないか、さくら。 で、みんな違うもんばかり見たゆーたな。 ふ〜む、クロウカードがそないなことするかな? |

Sakura trots in the kitchen, when the dinner is ready. さくらがダイニングに入ると、食事の準備ができている。 | |

Linguine with crabs, your favorite. カニのパスタですよ。 さくらさんの大好物だよね。 |

On getting seated, Sakura takes a picture of her mother up off the
table. 席につくと、さくらはテーブルの上に飾っている お母さんの写真を手にとる。 | |

My mom, Natasha, began modeling in junior school.
We still have all the pictures she was takes for magazines,
and the ones Dad took of her. Mom sure was pretty. あたしのお母さんの撫子さんは、中学の時からモデルの お仕事をしてたの。 うちにはまだ、雑誌に載った写真とか、 お父さんが撮った写真とかが、みんな残ってるの。 お母さん、きれい。 |

Phone rings! 電話が鳴る。 | |

Yeah, I'll go get that. お、わいがとってくるで。 |

Kero gets the cordless receiver and brings it for Sakura,
so she can talk on the phone. ケロは、コードレスの受話器を取ってさくらのところに持ってきて、 さくらが電話に出る。 | |

Hi, Sakura speaking. Hey, Madison. What's up? Back to the forest? はい、さくらです。 あ、知世ちゃん、どうしたの? また森に行った? |

Yeah, I just talked to Chelsea.
She convinced some other friends into going with her.
And they saw again... the ghost. ええ、さっき千春ちゃんと話したんですけど、 他のお友達何人かを誘って行ったらしいんです。 で、また見たんですって... ユーレイを。 |

Sakura, Madison, and Kero come in the forest for investigation.
Sakura is dressed in a pink rabbit outfit made by Madison. さくらと知世とケロは、調査をしに裏山にはいる。 さくらは知世がつくったピンクのウサギの衣装を着ている。 | |

What's the big deal, Sakura?
Fulfill as Cardcaptor, remember? さくら、なにやっとんのや? カードキャプターの使命を果たすんや、ええか? |
| Sakura |
I guess. [Sobbing] う、うん。 [泣く] |
| Madison |
Are you OK? 大丈夫ですか? |
| Sakura |
Yeah, I suppose I am. Are Chelsea's friends OK? うん、なんとか。 千春ちゃんのお友達は大丈夫だったの? |
| Madison |
Yeah, but Chelsea said, when they saw the ghost they
panicked like we did, and ran to the forest, some of
them fell on ground to hurt. But they're OK, now. ええ、千春ちゃんが言うには、ユーレイを見て わたしたちみたいにパニックになって森の中に走っていって、 転んでケガをしたみたいですって。 たいしたことなかったらしいですけど。 |

I gotta catch that Clow Card. クロウカードを捕まえなきゃ。 |
| Kero |
That sounds a lot more like the Cardcaptor I know. それでこそ、わいがよー知っとるカードキャプターや。 |

Well, let's get going. じゃあ、始めましょうか。 |

Sakura and Madison find the glowing ball ahead, which flies into the
woods. さくらと知世は目の前に光の玉を見つけ、玉は森の奥に入っていく。 | |

There it is! いた! |
| Kero |
Sakura! さくら! |
| Sakura |
Right. Fly! うん。 フライ! |

Sakura calls out the Fly Card, and follows the light.
The ball halts at the cliff and emits a bright light, then a
woman appears from inside the light, who looks exactly like
Sakura's mother Natasha. さくらはフライを召喚し、光の玉を追いかける。 玉は崖のところで止まり、まぶしい光を放ち、光の中から女の人が現れる。 現れたのは、さくらのお母さん、撫子にそっくり。 | |

Is that you, Mom? Mother, it's you. お母さんなの? お母さんなんだよね。 |

The woman in the halo is looking at Sakura smiling. 光の中の女の人は、微笑みながらさくらを見ている。 | |

My mother. お母さん。 |

Madison and Kero come running to the scene. 知世とケロは走って、その場所に来る。 | |
| Madison |
Huh? え? |
| Kero |
What's happening, Sakura? さくら、どないしたんや? |

When Kero tries to catch up with Sakura, he gets flipped by
the force field. ケロがさくらに近づいていくと、ケロは力の壁にはじき飛ばされる。 | |
| Kero |
Aww! Aaah! どわぁ! あぁぁ! |
| Madison |
Kero. ケロちゃん! |
|
Sakura keeps looking at Natasha. さくらは撫子をじっと見ている。 | |
| Sakura |
I miss you. 会いたかった。 |

Natasha extends her arm for Sakura, and then she starts stepping
to her. 撫子がさくらに手をさしのべると、さくらは前に歩き始める。 | |
| Madison |
Sakura! Watch out for the cliff! さくらちゃん! 危ない! そっちは崖! |
|
The moment Sakura steps off the cliff, Natasha disappers from
her vision. Sakura loses her concioussness and falls. さくらが崖から足を踏み外すと、目の前から撫子が消える。 さくらは意識を失い落下する。 | |

Sakura! さくらちゃん! |
|
Out of nowhere, a hand grabs Sakura to rescue, so she falls slowly.
The hand on the rescue wears a ring on its ring finger. どこからともなく、手が伸びてさくらをつかみ、さくらはゆっくりと落ちる。 その手には指輪が光っている。 | |

Sakura! You OK? さくらちゃん! 大丈夫ですか? |

Meanwhile, Julian is walking below the cliff, when he happens to
see Sakura falling, so he dashes ahead. その時、雪兎が崖の下を歩いていて、 たまたま、さくらが落下するのを見て、すぐ駆けつける。。 | |

Uh, Sakura! [Catches Sakura safe] あ、さくらちゃん! [さくらを受け止める] |
| Madison |
Sakura! さくらちゃん! |
| Julian |
She's OK, Madison. I've got her. 大丈夫だよ。 ぼくが受け止めたから。 |
| Madison |
Phew. ふぅ。 |

Sakura finds herself in Julian's house, when he brings her
hot milk. さくらが気づくと、雪兎の家にいて、雪兎がホットミルクを持ってくる。 | |

You're awake? 気がついた? |
| Sakura |
Where am I? ここは? |
| Julian |
You're at my house. Would you like something to drink?
My grandma's washing your clothes for you. ぼくのお家。 のど乾いてない? 今、おばあちゃんが服を洗濯してくれてるから。 |

Julian gives a cup of hot milk for Sakura, and she sips. 雪兎はさくらにホットミルクをわたし、さくらは飲み始める。 | |

That's right. Tori told me that Julian lived with
his grandparents. But how did I get here? そっか。 雪兎さんはおじいさんとおばあさんと一緒に 住んでるってお兄ちゃんが言ってたんだ。 でも、どうしてここに? |

You fell down the cliff. You don't remember? さくらちゃん、崖から落ちたんだよ。 覚えてない? |
| Sakura |
Huh-huh... [Shakes head] ううん... [首を振る] |
| Julian |
That's OK. But it sure gave me a scare.
It's a good thing that I got hungry and I went out
for a late-night snack. 気にしないで。 でもビックリしたな。 でも、おなかがすいて夜食の買い出しに出たんだけど、 ホントによかったよ。 |
| Sakura |
You mean you saved me? Huph! Where is Madison? 雪兎さんが助けてくれたんですか? あっ! 知世ちゃんは? |
| Julian |
Well, some women in sunglasses came for her.
She was very worried about you, she made me to promise
to call Tori so you wouldn't wonder where you are,
where you're get home for walk.
She thought it might get me manage you, something like that. あ、サングラスの女の人たちがお迎えに来たよ。 さくらちゃんのこととても心配していて、桃矢に連絡するって 知世ちゃんと約束したんだ。 そうすれば、さくらちゃんも どこにいるとか、どう変えればいいって心配しなくていいからね。 それで、知世ちゃんも大丈夫だと思ったみたい。 |

What about Kero? ケロちゃんは? |
| Julian |
You mean that orange stuffed animal?
Uh, Madison said she'd look after for it for you. あのオレンジ色のぬいぐるみ? 知世ちゃんが、借りていきますって言ってたよ。 |

Sakura drink all the milk. さくらはミルクを飲み干す。 | |
| Julian |
Better? 落ち着いた? |
| Sakura |
Better. はい。 |

Later on that night, Tori is carring Sakura back home on his back.
Julian walks with him carring Sakura's costume out of the landry. その晩遅く、桃矢がさくらをおぶって帰っている。 雪兎は、洗濯したばかりのさくらのコスチュームを持ってくれている。 | |

Sorry about this. すまなかったな。 |

Hmm. Sakura said, she saw your mom in the woods. ううん。 さくらちゃんが言ってたけど、林の中でお母さんに会ったんだって。 |

Have you seen your mom, since she passed on? 桃矢は、お母さんが亡くなってから会ったことある? |

Yeah, but certainly that's not behind the school.
It's my fault she's so afraid of ghosts.
I used to see them all the time, but I couldn't explain,
So when she asked me who I was talking to, I told Sakura
that there were see-through people. ある。 でも、学校の裏山とかじゃねえ。 さくらがユーレイを怖がるのは俺のせいなんだ。 俺は、いつもユーレイが見えてたんだけど、説明はできないけど。 それで、さくらが誰と話してるのかって訊いてくるから、 体が透けた人がいるって話をしてたんだ。 |

Next day, Sakura is sitting up in bed and reading a book, when
there's a knock on the door. 次の日、さくらがベッドで座って本を読んでいると、 部屋のドアがノックされる。 | |

| Madison |
Hey, Sakura. さくらちゃん。 |
| Sakura |
Madison. 知世ちゃん。 |
| Madison |
Are you OK? You didn't come to school. 大丈夫ですか? 今日、学校お休みでしたから。 |

Yep. I'm perfectly fine. Tori let me stay home today. うん。 あたしは全然大丈夫。 お兄ちゃんが休めって言うから。 |

Kero floats out of Madison's basket, giving Sakura a flower. ケロが知世のバスケットから出てきて、花を持ってさくらの所に飛んでくる。 | |

Ah, Kero. あ、ケロちゃん。 |

I'm sorry that I couldn't help you, Sakura. ごめんな。 わい、なんにもしてやれんかった。 |

Thanks, Kero. [Smells the flower] It's pretty. ありがとう、ケロちゃん。 [花の匂いをかぐ] きれいなお花。 |

So what do you think the line of forest was, Sakura? さくらちゃん、森の中のことはなんだと思いますか? |

My mom was there. In the forest, I saw her. お母さんがいたの。 森の中であったの。 |

But everyone saw something completely different.
You were the only one who said she saw a woman. でも、みんな全然違うものを見てるんですよ。 女の人を見たと言ってるのはさくらちゃんだけですわ。 |

but whatever it is, it has the power to fling me back
and knock me out. I'm the one who asked you to capture
the Cards, and there's no way I'm gonna risk but you'll

Well, I'm going back to the forest. でも、あたし、もう一度行ってみる。 |

I wonder if it'll show up again tonight. 今日も現れるでしょうか。 |

I'll be ready for it this time. わいの方は準備万端や。 |
